As usual, the first tests took place on Thursday and it was complicated because free practice 2 was disrupted by weather conditions. The teams and drivers had to make up for lost time this morning on a dry track. After setting the fastest time in free practice 1, Hamilton did it again this morning, ahead of Ricciardo, Rosberg, Vettel, and Alonso – who was the fastest during the rain-affected FP2.
The qualifying session for the 2014 Monaco Grand Prix will take place on a dry track, it will be crucial to make the tires work well to be competitive, and it will be very important to qualify well to have a successful race tomorrow.
