The qualifying sessions took place in dry conditions and were once again a battle between the two Mercedes drivers, with Nico Rosberg managing to get ahead of Lewis Hamilton. The Red Bull drivers follow on the second row and the Ferrari drivers on the third row.
During the race, it could be cooler than yesterday during the qualifications, which might make it more challenging for the drivers to properly warm up the tires. Strategy will be a key element in the race because it is difficult to overtake on the track, so they will have to try to do so through the various pit stops that might occur, as well as during any appearances of the safety car.
