Friday: Bottas and Massa Well Positioned for Williams

Valtteri Bottas (No. 77) – 8th and 4th

The native of Nastola seems to enjoy the Red Bull Ring. He states: « It’s really a beautiful track, I think it will become one of my favorites. It’s an old-school track with some high-speed sections and no room for error. With long straights, racing should be interesting too. »

He explains that the development of his F1 on this track: « It is not easy to set up the car on this circuit because different issues arise at each turn, turn 1 is a right-hander going uphill, turn 3 is a right-hander going downhill, both at different speeds, so we will have to analyze the data to see what works best for us. »

Felipe Massa (No. 19) – 4th and 5th

For his return to Austria, the Paulista is satisfied with his car’s performance. He says: « The balance of the car was good and its performance was positive so we will be able to fight here. It is not an easy track and many things can happen as we learned today, so we must be consistent. It’s great to be among the best with Ferrari but we cannot ignore the teams that are following and we will be ready for any eventuality. »
