The Scuderia seems to have worked well during the summer break. This effort seems to be paying off on Italian soil as the red drivers are well placed.

Fernando Alonso (#14) – 4th and 4th

For Ferrari’s home Grand Prix, the Asturian expresses a special feeling with a particular significance at Monza. He states: « The characteristics of the track make it something unique: here you race with low aerodynamic downforce, you feel that the car is faster on the straight and lighter in the corners, and as was the case today, you have to try different levels of aerodynamic downforce. In general, I was happy with the work we did on the setup and the tires, and especially with the time I set with a full tank. Now we prepare for tomorrow and hope to do well in front of our fans who were already there to support us from the stands. »

Kimi Räikkönen (No. 7) – 7th and 3rd

After a very studious day during which the Finn tested many different settings, the outcome was positive: In the morning, we focused on evaluating different aerodynamic configurations to find the best downforce level. Then in the afternoon, we chose an intermediate solution that seems to produce the best results on both types of tires. The difference between the mediums and the hards is more or less what we expected; the softer ones performed well, but in terms of handling, I found that the hards were not bad.
