Friday: Busy schedule for Hülkenberg and Pérez at Force India
The two Force India drivers worked on tires and race pace. They completed their program without any particular issues.
Sergio Pérez (no. 11) – 6th and 14th
The Mexican said he had a good start to his weekend by completing almost his entire program with only one interruption due to a red flag: « This interrupted our evaluation of the medium tire on long stints, but I have the impression that it performs quite well. The track layout is very enjoyable, and the soft tires work particularly well here. The circuit seems quite demanding in terms of fuel, which will have implications for strategy. These factors should make the race quite attractive for the fans. »
Nico Hülkenberg (n°27) – 13th and 12th
The day was positive for the German: « It’s a pleasant track to drive; it’s really nice while being difficult and delicate. There are very technical parts, particularly the last sector. Today, we completed our program and collected quite a bit of data. We are going to tweak the balance a bit tonight to find a bit more pace and improve performance for tomorrow. »
