Sahara Force India entrusts its IT to Adaptavist

In recent seasons, there has been a noticeable increase in announcements of agreements between F1 teams and data management specialists.

It was Mercedes that started the trend by reaching an agreement with Tata Communications in 2013. Beyond the technical collaboration, the two partners also launched a competition in 2014 to showcase their respective strengths to the general public.

Lotus has also been very active on the subject, with partnerships with both Microsoft Dynamics and Caprizia. Similarly, Williams has also decided to use the network set up by British Telecom, in order to maximize the speed of its data transmission. Sauber has also increased its computing capacity by purchasing a supercomputer developed by HP.

Sahara Force India, in turn, felt the need to improve the management of its IT services by partnering with a specialist in the sector. Simon Haighton-Williams, CEO of Adaptavist, explains the benefits he can bring to his new partner: « The process of designing, manufacturing, and operating a race car prototype is a tremendous challenge, especially in managing the life cycles of car components. This is an area where our solutions can play an important role by providing reliable software to improve the team’s operational efficiency. »
