The reconstruction work continues at Manor: after the recruitment of Bob Bell as a technical advisor and Fabio Leimer as a reserve driver, the team is now active on the commercial front.

She has thus entered into an agreement valid for the rest of the season with the peer-to-peer apartment rental specialist Airbnb. This gives Airbnb a prominent place on the single-seaters of Roberto Mehri and Will Stevens as its logo is placed on the engine cover, the most visible area.

Montreal’s selection as the venue for the announcement is no coincidence: this city is where these services are most used in Canada. For the start-up, the partnership directly boosts its commercial activity, as F1 fans generally do not come from the city where the Grand Prix is held, as explained by Jonathan Midenhall, its Chief Marketing Officer: “We are thrilled to collaborate with Manor Marussia F1 Team and will support them during their F1 races on six continents. We are excited to have the team within our community. We know our hosts will be eager to welcome racing fans from all over the world into their homes.”

This arrival of a globally significant start-up is thus a sign that F1 is still capable of providing the ideal framework for conducting a worldwide communication campaign, particularly for companies from the new technology sector.

We can also note that the rear wing of the single-seaters carried the “TFI Friday” logo during this Canadian weekend, in honor of the entertainment program that the British public channel Channel 4 will bring back to life this Friday, June 12th.
