Williams focused on its developments

The timesheet from the second practice session of the Belgian Grand Prix was not flattering for Williams, as Valtteri Bottas ranked 14th while Felipe Massa couldn’t do better than 16th. Nevertheless, the Brazilian stated that there was nothing surprising or concerning about the situation: « It was a typical Friday for Williams. We are not looking to be at the top of the timesheets. We completed most of our scheduled program. We were only delayed by the red flags, which were not anticipated. »

Valtteri Bottas delved more into the details of the tests carried out by the team during the day: « Today, our main objective was aerodynamic testing, including the rear wing configuration. We also looked at the tires, as you might expect on a Friday. We collected a lot of data throughout the day. We know that today’s times are not representative and that we will continue to improve our performance throughout the weekend. »

This strategy has already been adopted during the year. It is therefore very possible that the two Williams drivers will be able to join the battle between the Ferraris and the Red Bulls.
