Renault to collaborate with Admiral Yachts
Renault has chosen the prestigious setting of the Monaco Grand Prix to announce a partnership with luxury yacht brand Admiral Yachts.
Monaco has built its reputation around its famous marina, which allows F1 cars to skim past the world’s most beautiful yachts. It is therefore natural that it is in this glamorous setting that Renault revealed its latest partnership.
Indeed, Admiral Yachts, which is part of the Italian maritime conglomerate The Italian Sea Group, joins the ranks of the team’s partners. Thus, its logo will now be displayed on the rear part of the engine cover, in the area left black on the predominantly yellow bodywork.
Nevertheless, the two partners will not limit themselves to this advertising and visual aspect. Indeed, the new boats developed now feature hybrid engines, just like Formula 1 and mainstream cars. The two companies will thus exchange their expertise in this field to mutually progress, as explained by Giuseppe Taranto, CEO of the group: « The speeds of an F1 and a luxury yacht differ radically, but both are truly at the cutting edge of technology. We are exploring the exciting field of hybrids from a very different angle than F1s, but our engineers will be able to learn a lot from this association and I hope that we can also offer valuable input to Renault Sport Formula One Team. »
