LDNR to be displayed at Sahara Force India
Sahara Force India will be welcoming a new sponsor, with the Foresight & Vision eyewear group exhibiting its LDNR and Eye Respect brands.
Glasses are a fashion accessory widely used by athletes in general and F1 drivers in particular, especially during the famous pre-race parades.
If Luxottica has understood for many years the interest in being exposed in F1, through its brands Ray-Ban and Oakley, other groups in the same sector have also decided to bet on this lever.
Thus, the Foresight & Vision group has reached an agreement with Sahara Force India to have visibility on two levels. The first concerns its products as such. Thus, Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon, as well as the mechanics, will wear sunglasses developed by the brands Eye Respect and LDNR.
But the second brand will gain additional exposure through the presence of its logo on the team’s cars. Jonathan van Blerk, the CEO and creative director of the British artisan, stated: « Working with Sahara Force India is a perfect fit for our brand. We share their fighting spirit and have always aimed to punch above our weight since we started developing our eyewear brands. The Formula One environment gives us a fantastic opportunity to showcase our products to the world, and I am really excited to begin our partnership with Sahara Force India. »
At least this partnership will not conflict with a personal contract Sergio Perez has made. Indeed, one can recall that the Mexican driver had terminated his contract with Hawkers, a Mexican sunglasses brand, after it misstepped in its communication post-Donald Trump’s election.
