Abu Dhabi: Flashback 2018 and Winner Predictions

2018 in summary: a victory for Hamilton, a spectacular crash by Hülkenberg, and donuts for Alonso’s last in Formula 1.

The last Grand Prix of the 2018 season begins with a spectacular accident. Romain Grosjean and Nico Hülkenberg collide in turn 9, and the German goes rolling over to end up upside down on the tire wall. The Renault driver eventually emerges unscathed from his car as the safety car makes its appearance.

After a few laps, Kimi Räikkönen is forced to retire from his last Grand Prix with Ferrari before joining Alfa Romeo Racing for the 2019 season.

Following their clash at Interlagos, Esteban Ocon and Max Verstappen continue to engage in an epic battle, overtaking each other alternately. Ultimately, it’s the Red Bull that has the final say over the Force India.

Despite the appearance of rain in the Emirati desert, not much happens until the end of the race. While Ocon retires due to a mechanical incident, Gasly does the same five laps from the finish.

Lewis Hamilton wins in Abu Dhabi, claiming his fourth victory on this circuit. Sebastian Vettel takes second place, and Max Verstappen finishes on the final step of the podium.

Fernando Alonso finished eleventh in the final Grand Prix of his impressive Formula 1 career. Vettel, Alonso, and Hamilton capped off the race with donuts on the track after escorting the Spanish champion for several laps.

The Editorial Team’s Prediction:

The editorial team believes that a Mercedes will start from pole position with a perfect tie between Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton. However, opinions are quite divided when it comes to the race. Some of us think that Bottas and Verstappen could take the victory while Hamilton, Leclerc, and Vettel would share the second and third steps of the podium.
