Amazon Prime Video will stream a documentary about Fernando Alonso
The driver Fernando Alonso is one of the few to have competed in most high-level motorsports. Dakar, F1, Le Mans Prototype, IndyCar... he has had the chance to try it all. That's all it took for Amazon to dedicate a documentary series to the story and life of the Spaniard, a double F1 world champion.
After the success of Drive to Survive, a documentary about Formula 1, broadcast and produced by Netflix, which is currently filming its 3rd season behind the scenes of the paddocks, producers and Netflix competitors have come up with ideas.
Thus, Amazon Prime Video, the main competitor to Netflix in the USA, has decided to cover the story of Fernando Alonso in a documentary series with multiple episodes. His close associates and the Spaniard himself agreed to take part in the project. Viewers will be able to follow the journey of the double F1 world champion with Renault in the IndyCar championship during his participations in the Indy500 and his involvement in the Dakar Rally.
Carlos Sainz, very close to Fernando Alonso, appears in the trailer, as does his sister or his wife, Linda Morselli. He even went so far as to capture his own feelings on video behind the scenes at events like the Dakar or the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The documentary titled Fernando will be released on September 25 on Amazon Prime Video and will consist of 5 episodes of less than an hour.
Other productions have emerged on motorsports and the depths of Formula 1. This is notably the case for Williams, whose history was narrated by director Morgan Matthiew. McLaren, the driver, also had a documentary on Netflix.

As a reminder, Fernando Alonso will return to Formula 1 in 2021 since he signed with Renault to replace Daniel Ricciardo.
