Large fine of €1000 for Charles Leclerc for speeding

This morning in Istanbul the track was very slick and slippery. In challenging conditions, the drivers did a lot of spins but Charles Leclerc also overestimated the braking capacity of his car at the pit entry.

The Ferrari driver was caught speeding more than 20 km/h over the speed limit, being clocked at 101.1 km/h.

As a reminder, the sporting regulations stipulate a speed limit of 80 Km/h at the entrance to the pit lane, except on certain circuits where the pit lane is too short.

Article 10.1.1 provides for fines proportional to the drivers’ infractions, ranging from €500 to several thousand Euros.
