The best tweets from the special Turkey Grand Prix weekend

Friday the 13th marked Lando Norris’s birthday. For his 21st birthday, the McLaren driver received well wishes from his team of mechanics.

While the drivers were racking up laps during the first free practice session, Ferrari and Mercedes were putting on a show on Twitter.

Friday’s free practice sessions took place on an exceptionally slippery track, which did not fail to provoke reactions from the drivers…

…just like the future residents of the 2021 grid (with a double world champion, we remind you).

Qualifying session on Saturday was held on a wet track due to rain, forcing most drivers to use full wet tires.

The street sweeper was out during this session.

After two red flags and a session largely dominated by Verstappen, it’s Lance Stroll who clinches pole position, the first of the Racing Point driver’s career and the first for a Canadian driver since Jacques Villeneuve’s at Jerez in 1997.

Mercedes were beaten in qualifying for the first time this season.

The race starts with a flying start from Racing Point and Sebastian Vettel, while Verstappen is struggling a bit.

At the end of a tumultuous Grand Prix marked by numerous spins, Lewis Hamilton claimed another victory, allowing him to win the world championship, equaling “Schumi’s” record with 7 world titles.

Perez takes second place and Vettel completes the podium, an opportunity for the FFL to react!

The German four-time world champion comes to congratulate his rival at the end of the Grand Prix, one of the most beautiful images of this season.

The Mercedes team of course celebrated their champion’s 7th world title.

Attention to the other drivers in the paddock: Hamilton is still hungry for titles!
