Romain Grosjean back in the paddocks in Bahrain

The Franco-Swiss driver Romain Grosjean, who was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday after his terrible accident during the Bahrain Grand Prix, returned to the paddock for the first time.

Romain Grosjean first went to meet his Haas colleagues, then proceeded to the pit lane to meet FIA doctors, the medical car driver, as well as the track marshals and firefighters who helped reduce the impact of the flames.

The reunion was emotional, and the driver took the time to embrace and acknowledge the work of Doctor Ian Roberts as well as the track marshal who intervened with the fire extinguisher.

At present, it is still too early to discuss a presence in the Haas seat for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the last 2020 Grand Prix, but it is Romain Grosjean’s ambition. If it’s not possible due to a refusal by the FIA doctors, he is considering a private test session in Abu Dhabi to allow him to get back into an F1 car in a more favorable context.
