James Bond supports Aston Martin!

James Bond and Aston Martin form an inseparable pair, since the late Sean Connery, at the time the interpreter of the most famous spy in the seventh art, drove a British-made DB5 in the James Bond movie “Goldfinger” in 1964.

Since then, the two parties have been closely associated, embodying the figures of British elegance in the eyes of the world and Aston Martin cars regularly make their appearance in James Bond movies. This will notably be the case for the next installment “No time to die” scheduled for the end of this year, where Daniel Craig will once again portray the iconic character.

As a Formula 1 fan, the actor has shown his support for the Aston Martin project, delighted that his favorite car brand will be on the Formula 1 grid for the 2021 season:

I wanted to congratulate Aston Martin on their return to Formula 1 for the first time since 1960.

It is a special feeling for me, just as it is for all fans of the sport I imagine, to see Aston Martin on the grid with its iconic green color. And what a duo of drivers with four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel and the very talented Lance Stroll by his side!

I wish good luck to the team and to Lawrence (Stroll), show the others what you are capable of and I hope to see you very soon in the paddock.

To mark the occasion, the Vettel and Stroll team drivers, when asked who will be the James Bond of the team, requested that the question be asked at the end of the season. A good omen for the rivalry to come between the two protagonists!

Please note that Lawrence Stroll went as far as to entrust the hosting of the show to Gemma Arterton, seen as an MI6 agent in the movie “Quantum of Solace”.
