Bahrain winter tests: the program for the 3 days of testing

The teams as well as their drivers will soon be able to intensify their preparation for this 2021 season. The winter tests, which traditionally took place in Barcelona, ​​had to move further east to the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain.

If very few things change for some teams like Mercedes or Williams, for others like Haas or Aston Martin, it will be necessary to approach these tests well in order to accumulate the maximum amount of data and confidence.

However, winter testing will be shortened this season, as teams and their drivers will only have 3 days to prepare compared to 6 in previous years. Priority has therefore been given to the regular drivers at the expense of reserve drivers. Only the Williams team will have one of its reserve drivers run. Indeed, Roy Nissany will driver the FW43B.

Note that the tests should have taken place this year, as usual, in Barcelona at the Catalunya circuit, but for event restriction reasons, the circuit was not allowed to host the teams.

From Friday, March 12 in the morning, drivers will be able to take the track from 8 a.m. (French time) until 12 p.m. They will be able to continue their preparations in the afternoon between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.
