Sao Paulo Grand Prix – Bottas: « I managed to do my best »
The Finnish driver has rehabilitated himself well after last week's defeat.
Alone against two Red Bull cars, Valtteri was able to get an excellent start and overtake Verstappen. Taking advantage of the Dutchman’s issues at the start, Bottas managed to pull away in the early laps, so it took Max some time to catch up with him over the attacking distance, which was never successfully completed until the end of the race. The Finn did a good job and brought the team the best result in the current situation. Maybe with the same good start in tomorrow’s race, Bottas will be able to put up a fight against the Red Bull drivers.
« I had a great start and managed to keep up a good pace throughout the race. It was a good choice to go for a harder tire compound, as it allowed me to hold off Max’s attacks.
