São Paulo Grand Prix – Hamilton under investigation again for removing his seatbelt!

At 8:44 pm, a statement from the FIA asks a Mercedes representative to join the FIA to explain an incident with Lewis Hamilton’s seatbelt.

« A representative from Mercedes is expected at the commissioner’s office for the following reason: Breach related to Appendix L, Chapter 3, and Article 4 of the F1 sporting code. (Use of safety belts). »

Lewis Hamilton picked up the Brazilian flag during his deceleration lap and untied himself to be able to wave it. What the FIA must naturally analyze.

Note that last year, Charles Leclerc had an issue with a poorly fastened safety harness that did not result in any sanctions.

Update at 10 p.m.:

Lewis Hamilton receives a fine of €5,000 and keeps his position in the Brazilian Grand Prix.
