Saudi Arabia Grand Prix – Bottas: We made a mistake in choosing the tires at the beginning of the race
A bit lost at the start, the Finnish driver had an excellent finish to the race and managed to snatch third place just a few meters before the finish line.
After an excellent second place on the starting grid, the Finn got a bit lost during the race amid red flags and the battle between the two championship leaders, but managed to remember just before the finish line by overtaking Esteban Ocon in the fight for third place.
« It’s not an easy day. A lot of incidents, red flags, all that made the race difficult. At the first restart after the red flag, I used Hard – apparently, it was a mistake – several cars on Medium were in front of me. After that, I switched to Medium and everything was fine. I kept pushing. It was difficult to overtake, but at the finish line, I climbed to third place.
