McLaren will end its season with a new livery
For the last race of the season, in Abu Dhabi, McLaren will race with a special livery in partnership with its sponsor Vuse.
After Alpine in Saudi Arabia, it’s the McLaren team that will race with a new livery in Abu Dhabi. The British team is no stranger to this season, as it had caught the eye in Monaco with its Gulf livery.
The brand has indeed launched a campaign called Driven by Change which allows artists over 25 years old, considered as not having had the success they deserved, to showcase themselves. This custom livery designed by the artist based in the United Arab Emirates, Rabab Tantawy, is the first created by a female artist from the Middle East in Formula 1.
We are delighted to bring together the worlds of art and motor racing in an innovative way, showcasing the works of Rabab Tantawy on our race cars at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix,” said Claire Cronin, McLaren Racing’s Marketing Director, to Autosport. With Vuse, Driven by Change is a unique opportunity to use our global stage to support emerging talents, giving undiscovered creatives the platform they deserve. Rabab’s art is inspiring, and we are proud to take her papaya-influenced creation to the race this weekend.
On the eve of the final meeting of the season, McLaren is still in fourth place in the Constructors’ Championship, behind Scuderia Ferrari by 38.5 points. It would take a performance worthy of Monza for the legendary team to reverse the trend.
