The full schedule of the 2022 Formula 1 Grand Prix has just been unveiled by the FIA. In addition to the 23 races we already knew about and the Friday timings moving to the afternoon, we have also learned that the sessions are now all limited to a maximum of 1 hour of practice.
The majority of FP1 sessions start on Friday at 2pm, while the second session begins 3 hours later.
For now, no Grand Prix has been announced with the sprint race format that we tested last year, but that could still change depending on the on-track performances this season.
The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix will take place on the weekend of the switch to daylight saving time in Europe, while the Mexican Grand Prix takes place on the weekend of the switch to standard time.
To note that 2 races in the Middle East will take place during sunset: Bahrain and Abu Dhabi, and that 2 races will take place during the night: Saudi Arabia and Singapore.
Finally, only the Miami Grand Prix will not be on a round schedule, but on the half hours. The race will start at 9:30 PM in France.
