Formula 1 drivers’ ranking

In the drivers’ championship, Charles Leclerc now leads George Russell by 34 points. Indeed, among his direct pursuers, Russell is the only one who has not retired, unlike Perez, Verstappen, or Sainz. Leclerc’s teammate at Ferrari, on the other hand, currently occupies 3rd position in the championship, 38 points behind his teammate. Quite a gap in just 3 races.

Just like Russell at Mercedes, the first Red Bull in the championship is also not that of its leader. Sergio Perez is ahead of Max Verstappen in the standings by 5 points.

The first driver of the “other” teams is Esteban Ocon in the Alpine. The French driver has 20 points, already 51 points behind the leader. He is ahead of Norris, Bottas, and Magnussen to round off the top 10.

Ranking of Formula 1 teams

Ferrari is not the team that scored the most points today despite the victory and the fastest lap point from Charles Leclerc. Indeed, Mercedes, thanks to Russell’s 3rd place finish and Hamilton’s 4th place, scored 27 points today, which is 1 more than Ferrari.

It is therefore logical that Mercedes finds itself in second place in the team standings, still 39 points behind Ferrari.

Red Bull holds the third place despite its 3 retirements in 3 out of 6 possible races. Behind, the gap widens with the 4th and 5th positions. Red Bull actually has a 31-point lead over McLaren, which took the 4th position from Alpine this weekend thanks to a strong performance from the Woking team.

Alpine is ahead of Alfa Romeo, Haas, AlphaTauri, Williams and Aston Martin. Williams scores its first point of the season this year, leaving Aston Martin alone at the back of the grid, with an empty ranking.
