Change of leader in the overall ranking!
After the end of the Catalan weekend, it is Max Verstappen and Red Bull who take control of the drivers' and constructors' championship.
Thanks to his third consecutive victory this season and Charles Leclerc’s retirement, Max Verstappen takes the lead in the drivers’ championship, six points ahead of the Monégasque driver.
Red Bull also takes first place in the standings due to their one-two finish and Ferrari’s poor weekends, with Leclerc retiring while in a commanding lead and Carlos Sainz only managing a fourth-place finish, which was well-deserved after yet another track excursion. The Austrian team scored the maximum points (44 points) compared to only 12 for the red team.
