Alpine sponsors one of the teams in the GP Explorer organized by Squeezie
This is a one-of-a-kind event. 22 French content creators will take part in a Formula 4 race specially organized for the occasion by the French YouTuber with 17 million subscribers: Squeezie. Alpine has decided to seize the opportunity to sponsor one of the teams and have a strong presence on site.
It all started with a joke from Squeezie: “What if we did a Grand Prix?” A few months later, here they are. On Saturday, October 8th, 2022, at the small circuit of Le Mans: the Bugatti circuit. Twenty French digital content creators will be racing in front of over 40,000 people with F4 cars.
If we have been able to hear about the event on social media in recent months, especially thanks to the YouTuber Depielo, specialized in Formula 1, it is not official with the FIA. Indeed, it is the FFSA that provides its F4 single-seaters to promote the development pathway for French drivers, and the term “Grand Prix” will not be used.
Alpine, targeting a young clientele, has been involved in the event and is the only car manufacturer to sponsor one of the 11 teams presented this week. Therefore, there will be an Alpine team with a single-seater in the iconic blue livery that we have seen on the endurance team. The team’s drivers will be Manon Lanza and Djilsi. Two creators who have nothing to do with the automotive world.
In addition to sponsoring a team, Alpine will provide an Alpine A110 as a safety car and offer many on-site activities. Victor Martins, a recent F3 champion, will also be present, as well as drivers from the endurance and FIA R-GT teams including Nicolas Lapierre, Matthieu Vaxiviere, Manu Guigou, and Raphaël Astier.
