Mick Schumacher’s special helmet in Japan, inspired by the colors of cherry blossoms
The Formula 1 driver, Mick Schumacher (son of Michael Schumacher), is wearing a special helmet this weekend in honor of the Grand Prix of Japan. He pays tribute to the famous cherry blossoms.
In spring in Japan, the photos are well-known: cherry blossoms. Mick Schumacher paid tribute to this Japanese postcard by showcasing cherry blossoms on his helmet, all with textures that are rarely seen on helmets, in relief.
This is the first time Mick Schumacher will drive in F1 on this circuit. The handmade helmet adorned with cherry blossoms, or “Sakura” in Japanese, aims to bring luck, according to Mick Schumacher’s expectations.
