A little earlier in the season, Valtteri Bottas launched a contest to create a special helmet design. The design was selected at the Mexican Grand Prix a few weeks ago by Valtteri Bottas himself, with the help of Frederic Vasseur, Sauber team principal, and the director of Acer.
The helmet is being auctioned on the F1 website to help support the development of a charitable work: “Save the Children”. This organization fights for children’s rights worldwide.
The auction has already started and is already at $2100 at the time of writing, but is expected to reach over $10,000 by its end according to our estimates. The auction will end on November 30, 2022.
“It was difficult to choose among all the designs,” explained Finnish driver Valtteri Bottas. “They were all unique. I love the design we chose because it represents the objective of the project well.”
