Mattia Binotto leaves a company he loves, with regret

Just announced, already regretted; this decision seems difficult for Mattia Binotto to make, very difficult. Trained as an engineer, Binotto has been with Ferrari for 28 years. It’s an important chapter that is turning.

With the regret that it entails, I have decided to end my collaboration with Ferrari. I am leaving a company that I love, and have been a part of for 28 years, with the serenity that comes from the conviction that I have done everything possible to achieve the set goals.

Mattia Binotto appears to want to show that he has done everything possible to make the team better. It is true, notably, that during his appointment as director of the Scuderia Ferrari, performances have improved and the team has regained fights for victories.

“I am leaving behind a tight-knit and growing team. A strong, ready team, I am sure, capable of achieving the highest goals, to whom I wish the best for the future,” explains Binotto.

Binotto was appointed director of Scuderia Ferrari since January 2019, and after three seasons leading the team, he could no longer really take up another position within the Scuderia. Therefore, he is leaving the Ferrari company with some impressive achievements nonetheless.

(I) I think it’s the right time to do this; although this decision was very difficult for me to make. I would like to thank all the people in the sports management who have shared this journey with me, filled with challenges but also great satisfaction. (F) concludes Mattia Binotto.
