Ferrari test at Fiorano with Sainz on wet track

The Scuderia Ferrari continues its mid-season testing and went to its private track in Fiorano with its Spanish driver Carlos Sainz for a day of testing on a wet road.

Carlos Sainz completed about thirty laps in rather wintry conditions as it was only 7°C today in Eastern Italy.

Testing for Pirelli tires 2023

The team conducted tests only with wet or intermediate tires. Charles Leclerc was also present today at Fiorano, but our informants did not see him on the track.

These trials are part of Pirelli’s testing to optimize the 2023 tires. Other trials took place at Paul Ricard last week, and Ferrari will continue the trials tomorrow with Charles Leclerc, still on wet roads.

The Fiorano track is the testing track for Ferrari race models. It is equipped with sprayers to flood the track in case of testing on wet ground.
