Due to a bicycle accident, Lance Stroll will not participate in the pre-season testing
Lance Stroll had a problem during his bike training. Injured, the Canadian driver will not be able to drive during the first practice sessions this week in Bahrain. He will be replaced by one of the reserve drivers from Mercedes.
This week, Aston Martin was in Spain to continue the physical preparation of its drivers, but it seems that Lance Stroll suffered a significant fall, enough to prevent him from participating in private testing over the next few days.
« I had an unfortunate accident while training on my bike in preparation for the season. I am determined to get back on track and I am excited for the upcoming season with the team. I am motivated to bounce back as quickly as possible,” explained Lance Stroll.
Aston Martin has not yet announced its substitute driver, but it will most likely be Mick Schumacher since Aston Martin’s official reserve driver, Stoffel Vandoorne, is in Cape Town, South Africa for his Formula E Grand Prix.
