Standings: Max Verstappen even more on his own planet
With his tenth consecutive victory, Max Verstappen is getting even closer to a third world championship title. In the constructors' championship, Ferrari moves back ahead of Aston Martin.
The sixth Grand Prix in advance is about to arrive. Max Verstappen now has a more than considerable lead. Despite his teammate’s second place, the Dutchman now has 145 units more than his garage neighbor.
Behind the Red Bull drivers, Lewis Hamilton is only four points behind Fernando Alonso, who was very discreet this weekend at Monza. The battle for third place in the drivers’ standings is likely to be intense until the end of the season.
George Russell loses a position to Charles Leclerc, who finished one position ahead of him at the temple of speed. The British driver has 109 points compared to 111 for the Monégasque driver.
Alex Albon, took advantage of his top speed to score a few extra points and widen the gap against Nico Hülkenberg for 13th place.
In the constructors’ standings, there is a gaping abyss between Red Bull and Mercedes. With a 310-point lead, the Austrian team should quickly secure another title. Ferrari has overtaken Aston Martin, who was not comfortable in Italy. The Scuderia now has 228 points and has set its sights on the Germans, 45 points ahead.
