Sprint qualification schedules postponed in Doha, a test session added

Pirelli has questions about the performance of its tyres on the very abrasive Losail track. Therefore, the FIA has added a 10-minute driving session at 3 pm, instead of the start of the sprint qualifications.

The sprint qualification will therefore be held at 3:20 pm instead of 3 pm.

The sprint race will indeed take place at 19:30 as initially planned despite the forecasted weather in article 39.1 subsection B concerning the minimum gap between the end of qualifications and the race.

This decision comes following the FIA’s decision to modify the left kerbs between turns 12 and 14 which could therefore disrupt the drivers’ trajectory and therefore asks the drivers to regain their bearings.
