Future retiree, Guy Fréquelin – director of Citroen Sport in WRC – begins his last day in the World Rally Championship with stress at its maximum level. Sébastien Loeb must make no mistakes to win a fourth world title, and despite his third place, which could crown him in a few hours, the Loeb/Elena duo still needs to complete the rally…

« Our cars are third and fifth, » recalls the head of Citroën Sport.

« Usually, I’m not satisfied with this ranking. But the conditions are exceptional. The risk of making a mistake is huge on these stages. We must continue. Another long day of stress ahead! »

With three stages to go before the finish, Sébastien Loeb has nearly a five-minute lead over the sixth position in the overall standings.

The much-anticipated result is expected around 3:00 PM (local time) – which is 4:00 PM in France. Until then, about fifty kilometers still need to be covered.
