The team principal of Scuderia Ferrari, Stefano Domenicali, expects his team to experience another difficult weekend as the Bahrain Grand Prix approaches, but he hopes for progress in Spain. The team is facing its worst start to the season since 1981, having failed to score any points in the first three races. The F60 is neither fast nor reliable.
All eyes will therefore be on Felipe Massa and Kimi Räikkönen, who might have a burst of pride.
Stefano Domenicali – Team Principal:
« We are experiencing a very difficult start to the season. We knew that we were going to suffer in China and, likely, we will be in trouble again here this weekend. After that, we must hope to take a step forward at the Spanish Grand Prix. Even considering that we cannot match the level of the other teams, every team will be making developments on their cars. »
« However, the most important point is that the entire team and everyone at Maranello is working very hard to get out of this situation as soon as possible. The gap with the leaders is significant, but I want to make it very clear that we have absolutely not given up the fight for the titles. Developments continue, as every year, and this will continue regardless of the results in the upcoming races. »
« Even if the situation were worse, we would never give up because that is absolutely not the philosophy of Ferrari. I would like to remind you that the team has won three of the last four available titles over the past two years. »
