A new diffuser for Toro Rosso from Barcelona onwards

The Scuderia Toro Rosso will fit a brand-new diffuser on its STR4 for the Spanish Grand Prix taking place in just under two weeks. As the midfield teams are very close to each other, the Italian team is placing great hopes in this new component.

« We are looking forward to the next race in Spain, » said team principal Franz Tost.

« We will have some updates in addition to the new diffuser, which will provide us with more support. The entire field is very tight, within a few tenths of a second, and the key to success in the race on Sunday as well as in qualifying on Saturday lies in this famous diffuser. For example, last Saturday, there were five cars within one-tenth, and getting out of Q1 was extremely complicated. »

Regarding the other teams, the aerodynamic improvements for Brawn GP, Toyota, and Williams are less anticipated since these three teams already have a double diffuser.

Force India will make some changes, but the biggest ones have already been made in Bahrain. Red Bull has warned that one should wait until Monaco at the end of May. Renault and McLaren already have a new diffuser. All eyes will therefore be on BMW and especially Ferrari, who have announced a new aerodynamic package for Barcelona to get out of the crisis!
