New front wing for Brawn GP in Turkey

With 86 points, the Brawn GP team leads the Formula 1 Championship masterfully, ahead of Red Bull (42.5 points) and Toyota (26.5 points).

The team is currently in Turkey where they will introduce a new front wing on the BGP 001.

After discussing the Grand Prix this weekend, Ross Brawn stated: After a week at the Brackley factory to reflect on our success in Monaco, the team is now looking forward to the next challenge at the Istanbul Grand Prix in Turkey this weekend. The Monaco Grand Prix was a wonderful weekend for Jenson and Rubens. The team, as well as our engine supplier, Mercedes-Benz, demonstrated their performance to achieve our third double win of the season. However, Monaco is a unique track, and we know our competitors will be very strong in Turkey this weekend. Development work on the car, BGP 001, has continued at the factory, and we will bring a new front wing to Turkey with some aerodynamic updates as well as new rear suspension elements.

« Istanbul Park is a modern racing track that presents an interesting technical challenge to get the best out of the car on the high-speed sections and the slower corners at the end of the lap. »

« It is hard to believe that we are already a third of the way through the season, but it has been a very intense and extremely rewarding start for the Brawn GP team. »
