Saturday: Red Bull is on its way to a second victory

New moment of glory for the Austrian team Red Bull Racing. One of its drivers achieved the second pole position of the season in Turkey after China in April. If everything goes as it did in China, this should lead to a victory. Sebastian Vettel is the author of this pole position; he was irresistible throughout the session.

His teammate, the Australian Marc Webber, has their back with a strong 4th place. The two drivers are flanking Button and Barrichello and will have the mission to stifle them. Tune in tomorrow to see the result.

Sebastian Vettel – 10th and 1st:

« We have a good car and very good chances for the race. I expected more difficulties for this qualifying session today. I mean, it wasn’t easy, but we did our best. We now have the best starting position, and it’s certainly an advantage to be on the clean side of the track in terms of grip. The main task now is to win tomorrow. It will be a long race, very tough and very hot. It won’t be easy for the cars and the drivers, but it will be exciting. »

Mark Webber – 13th and 4th:

It was a good qualifying session for us, I am happy with how Q3 went. It puts us in a reasonable position for the start of the race. I am pleased with the car’s performance, it worked well today and I am aiming for a podium tomorrow. The team did a good job today.

Christian Horner – Team Principal:

« A good performance from the team, both drivers put in very good qualifying laps. This puts us in a strong position for tomorrow’s race. Once again, the Brawns are extremely fast, but Ferrari and Toyota are also performing well. It will be an interesting race tomorrow. »
