Jenson Button is satisfied with his second place on the grid for the Turkish Grand Prix, after a difficult and tricky Friday during practice.

Jenson Button – 7th and 2nd:
« With the modifications made overnight, the car was much better today and we were able to push to improve our pace. It’s good to start at the front of the grid, but of course, I prefer being on pole, but Sebastian did a great job. It was very difficult to choose between the two types of tires today, as their performance was quite similar. The soft tires were a bit too slow for my liking, so I stuck with the hard tires for Q3, which gave me better feelings. It should be a good race tomorrow, as I really like this circuit, you can overtake here, so hopefully, there will be some good battles on the track. We’re going to try to change the statistics, because everyone who started on pole here has won the race! »
Rubens Barrichello – 6th and 3rd:
« The team has done an excellent job since yesterday’s practice sessions, making improvements, and the car gave me a good feeling immediately this morning. Qualifying was also really good, despite having a concerning moment in Q2 when traffic disrupted my second stint since the times were so close between the top eleven drivers. The main question in qualifying today was understanding which types of tires worked best. I had better feelings in the fast corners with the soft tires, and that was the best choice for me, so I went into Q3 with the hard tires, for only one stint. I lost my first two fast laps in traffic, but the third lap was really good. I have the advantage of starting on the clean side tomorrow, so aiming for a good start. »
Ross Brawn – Team Principal:
« A true team performance today to move around what was characteristically a challenge for us on Friday. Lots of work overnight for the drivers, engineers, and technicians, both here and at the Brackley factory to solve the issues we were facing. The goal is to give us very good pace against the competition in qualifying. Jenson and Rubens had different preferences for tires today, and we adopted two different strategies for Q3. Both strategies paid off, as we are two and three on the grid. We know the car works very well with fuel, which gives us confidence for tomorrow’s race. »
