Superfund still on the FIA reserve list

The team principal of Superfund, Alex Wurz, claims that his team remains on the FIA’s reserve list for the 2010 Formula 1 championship.

The Austrian submitted his application to be present next year in the premier category of motorsports, but his entry was not accepted by the FIA this Friday.

However, with the uncertainty surrounding the FOTA member teams, some teams are on a reserve list in case some manufacturers decide to withdraw.

Wurz and his Superfund team say they are on this list.

« I am not exactly sure what it depends on, » Wurz said from Le Mans regarding this reserve list.

There is a deadline on June 19, so there are a few more days to be selected.

The FIA asked the Superfund team to be in a reserve position. The governing body continues to talk to us and then a decision will be made.

The Austrian driver, however, remains uncertain about the future of his project to enter F1 in 2010.

« We will see. This year, I am with Peugeot for the 24h of Le Mans and I am under contract with Brawn. I have my business in the long term, so whatever happens I am very busy. »
