There is indeed an official ranking in Formula 1 that allows points to be distributed according to the importance of the positions achieved, in other words, with a decreasing scale by two for the top three places. 10 points for the winner, 8 for the second place, and 6 for the third.
This scoring system only rewards drivers who finish in the top eight, and drivers who regularly finish in the top 10 (for example, 9th and 10th) are never acknowledged, even though those positions are almost as important as an eighth place which usually bestows a point.
To correct the course, casinoenlignefrance.eu.com invents the consistency ranking: Each driver receives a point according to their reverse order of arrival, provided they have crossed the checkered flag. In case of withdrawal, they do not receive any points. The first place receives 22 points, the second 21, the third 20, and so on… The 20th, if there is one, will therefore inherit a single point.
In the end, we get a ranking based on the pilot’s finishing position in each race, showing the consistency of each and allowing the driver to be rewarded for the work they contribute to the team, not just their position.

This week for the British Grand Prix, only two drivers retired: Kovalainen in the McLaren and Bourdais in the Toro Rosso. Therefore, there are minor changes in the Motors Inside standings. No changes in the top four positions. Button (169 points) is still the leader with one Grand Prix ahead of Webber (140 points) and Barrichello (138 points). Glock (126 points) also maintains his 4th position even though he scored few points this weekend. Alonso’s poor performance at the Silverstone circuit allows Rosberg to take 5th place. The Spaniard drops to 6th place (122 against 115 points).
Hamilton (105 points) remains in 7th position but is threatened by Trulli and Vettel, who is making further progress in the standings after his British victory. These last two drivers are in 8th position, tied on points with a total of 104. Heidfeld drops to 10th place. Massa and Räikkönen stay in 11th and 12th, just like Bourdais, Fisichella, and Piquet in 13th, 14th, and 15th positions. These latter drivers each have some leeway between those ahead and those they lead.
Kubica takes 16th place over Buemi with a three-point gap. Nakajima’s very good race allows him to move up two places ahead of Sutil and Kovalainen, who finishes last.
