Alguersuari will test the Toro Rosso on Friday

Jaime Alguersuari will take his new driving position on Friday for a test session on the STR4, which will be heavily revised.

The information was revealed by, it seems, the future teammate of the Spaniard for the upcoming Hungarian Grand Prix, Sébastien Buemi, even though the Red Bull team has not yet officially confirmed that Sébastien Bourdais has been ousted.

Alguersuari will no doubt conduct aerodynamic tests on a circuit in Italy. It is the only way to do so since the disappearance of in-season testing.

During a visit to a Swiss kart track this week, 20-year-old Buemi is excited about the upcoming Toro Rosso STR4, which will comply with the Red Bull Racing RB5 specifications at the recent British Grand Prix.

« We should have the possibility to qualify between 8th and 12th place and our goal will be to gain points, » he stated in the Swiss press.

The rather difficult situation of Bourdais does not affect Buemi’s aspirations and behavior in any way.

« F1 is the highest world championship. Even if you have been victorious in other categories, it is not easy to arrive in F1 and do the same, » he insisted.

« Everyone has their problems. We have a good relationship, but I need to focus on my work. I try to ignore everything else a little. »
