Bourdais could take legal action against Torro Rosso

Sébastien Bourdais is considering taking legal action against Scuderia Toro Rosso after being let go by the team.

After several days of speculation about Bourdais’s future, Toro Rosso announced Thursday morning that the Frenchman had participated in his last race for the team at the German Grand Prix.

Reacting to this information, it was a real shock for Bourdais. He revealed that he will consult his lawyers to see if the team has dishonored the terms of his contract.

« I believe the team’s decision is in violation of its obligations under the agreement. I have instructed my attorneys to review the situation, including the possibility of initiating legal proceedings. »

Besides the anger, Bourdais expressed some frustration because this decision comes on the eve of the introduction of a new package on the STR4 for the Hungarian Grand Prix.

« I am even more frustrated because the decision comes just before the Hungarian Grand Prix, where a new and more competitive car will be presented by the team in order to overcome the current difficulties, » said the man from Le Mans.

« I am convinced that if I had been given the chance to race with this new package, I would have had the opportunity to achieve good results. »
