It’s a new race weekend that Ferrari is about to experience. The Scuderia arrives in Hungary with the firm intention of making a positive impression at the Hungaroring circuit. The competition will be tough, with Red Bull and Brawn GP, and the announced return of McLaren. As always, they will need to watch out for Williams, Toyota, and perhaps Renault.
The Italian team will make modifications to their package even though, and it is certain now, the priority is 2010. Both drivers, Kimi Räikkönen and Felipe Massa, start confidently although the Brazilian has bad memories of this track…
Kimi Räikkönen – Racing Driver:
Traditionally, it’s a sort of home race for us because there are many Finnish compatriots in the stands. I will be racing with a new wing, which worked very well on Felipe [Massa]’s car. It’s possible that we will make new modifications. The F60 should perform quite well at the Hungaroring with its many slow corners. The temperatures should be slightly higher than during the weekend in Germany. It would be nice to finish on the podium.
Felipe Massa – Racing Driver
« I haven’t had great results on this track, but that doesn’t mean I’m not motivated for this race. If you remember last year, I had the victory in my pocket, but unfortunately my engine failed with only two laps to go. It’s a nice track to drive even if it’s not one of my favorites. I hope we can continue to make improvements to our package like in Germany. »
