New satisfaction for the Williams team, which had a good Saturday during this race weekend in Hungary. Both drivers finished in the top 10 overall for the day, a feat achieved by few teams…
This is the new rule for Williams, stability, but they will still aim for better race performance with a podium. This is at least Nico Rosberg’s objective since the German is positioned 5th on the starting grid, while his last practice session ended in the top 3 as usual! Kazuki Nakajima is positioned in 9th place, which is good but has the disadvantage of starting with cars equipped with KERS around him.
Nico Rosberg – 3rd and 5th:
« From my point of view, fifth place is good for today and gives us a very good chance for tomorrow. Overall, we have been good and my goal remains a podium. Obviously, we need to see the fuel loads of the other cars. We also need to make a good start and our race strategy promises good things. Considering all this, I am looking forward to the race. Most importantly, however, is that Felipe [Massa] is okay.
Kazuki Nakajima – 8th and 9th:
« The start of the qualifying went well until Q2. I’m happy to be in the top ten, but maybe I didn’t make the most of the last session. I struggled with warm tires and couldn’t find the times. Tomorrow, I’ll start 9th, but we’ll see what we can do. »
Sam Michael – Technical Director
« First and foremost, we all hope that Felipe Massa is fine after his accident. We had good practice sessions, and the qualifying session is satisfactory. Our goal now is to score points in the race with both cars. The start could be challenging with the cars having KERS around us. »
