The representatives of the Renault and Red Bull Racing teams have been summoned by the stewards of the Hungarian Grand Prix following incidents during the race.
Even though a post-race analysis on Kimi Räikkönen’s first corner will be conducted as announced during the race, the track stewards made statements after the event, reaffirming that several investigations would take place.
They confirmed that members of the Renault and Red Bull Racing teams had been summoned.
Renault will be heard for the wheel of Fernando Alonso’s car that came off after his first pit stop, while Red Bull Racing will have to explain the late release of Mark Webber’s car from the pits, which could have resulted in a collision with Kimi Räikkönen.
If sanctions are imposed, the penalties will likely be applied for the next race in Valencia for the European GP. Just what you need to be in a good mood during the August holidays!
