The stewards of the Hungarian Grand Prix decided that it was not necessary to continue the investigation and penalize Kimi Räikkönen, Ferrari driver, for his start.
Räikkönen was the subject of an investigation into his conduct during the first laps of the Hungarian Grand Prix. He made contact with the Red Bull of Sebastian Vettel, a rival at the start.
The Finnish driver, who finished in second place, escaped a penalty as the stewards considered the event a racing incident.
Meanwhile, the Red Bull Racing team risks a reprimand for having let Mark Webber leave after his pit stop just as Räikkönen was speeding down. The collision was narrowly avoided.
This is the second consecutive race where Red Bull finds itself in this situation. It was fined and reprimanded for releasing Sebastian Vettel unsafely at the German Grand Prix two weeks ago.
