The English police announced in a statement yesterday the suspension of the driving license of the British Ross Brawn, director of the Brawn GP team in Formula 1.
The buyer of the Honda team was caught by a radar at 100 mph (miles per hour), equivalent to 161 km/h, several weeks ago. Caught exceeding the speed limit by 30 mph, Brawn was stopped by a patrol on the roads of the southwest, not far from Okehampton, located 30 minutes from Exeter and Plymouth.
Behind the wheel of a Mercedes-Benz, Brawn immediately had his driving license suspended, which, let’s remember, has not yet been switched to the point system across the Channel.
Ross Brawn had a scheduled court appearance in Plymouth last Monday but did not attend. The court’s decision has been postponed until September, resulting in the suspension of his driving license at least until that time.
