Renault soon on an exceptional roadshow in Russia

The ING Renault F1 Team announced yesterday via press release the organization of a new Roadshow, this time in Sochi, Russia. The event will take place on Friday, September 18th.

Romain Grosjean, Renault’s main driver, and Adam Khan, demonstration driver, will offer the public an extraordinary show in the streets of Sochi.

The Roadshow, in collaboration with MegaFon, the team’s partner, and the Sochi City government, will coincide with the Sochi Economic Forum, which will be chaired by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is also expected in Sochi as part of this Forum.

It is therefore in front of the Sochi audience, which is hoped to be numerous and for the greatest pleasure of Russia’s economic elite, that the ING Renault F1 Team will make its single-seaters roar. It will be the perfect opportunity for the team’s drivers to discover Sochi, a city experiencing rapid growth in view of the 2014 Winter Olympics, for which MegaFon will be the official communications partner.

The team will also bring its single-seaters as well as its two and three-seater F1 cars from its Feel-It program to offer a number of media personnel and guests of the Economic Forum the unique opportunity to sit alongside the team’s drivers.

Adam Khan, demonstration pilot, added: « I’m really looking forward to going to Sochi. Russia is a new market for Formula 1, and a large number of fans will have the chance to see it up close and be at the heart of the action. Driving an F1 is always a special moment for me, and being behind the wheel in the streets of a city is truly extraordinary. »

Renault will also bring a number of historical cars, equipment for pit stops, and racing simulators to offer the public the opportunity to participate in this very special day.
