Renault and Grosjean were in Sochi with the roadshow on Saturday

The Renault F1 Team was in the streets of Sochi last Saturday for a spectacular Russian Roadshow. Race driver Romain Grosjean and the team’s demonstration driver Adam Khan put on a show in the Russian city that will host the Winter Olympics in 2014.

The Roadshow, in collaboration with MegaFon, the team’s partner, and the Sochi City government, took place alongside the Economic Forum happening in Sochi this week. The large audience enjoyed a unique experience in a warm and friendly atmosphere, centered around Formula 1 and motorsport.

Romain and Adam put on a series of demonstrations for the fans’ greatest pleasure. The two drivers roared their cars on a temporary 1-kilometer-long circuit located near the city’s port and specially designed for the occasion. A number of media and guests from the Economic Forum also had the unique opportunity to take a seat in the two and three-seater F1 cars for an unforgettable experience.

The public was truly able to participate in this exceptional day: autograph sessions, photos, challenges around the Batak and the F1 simulator were also on the program.

Romain Grosjean commented: « I greatly enjoyed this Roadshow in Sochi. It’s a wonderful city and we were very well received. The enthusiasm for F1 is extraordinary here. »

Demonstration team driver, Adam Khan, commented: « Driving a Formula One car is always a huge pleasure and being behind the wheel of an F1 in the streets of a city, like here in Sochi, fills me with even more excitement. This event was an opportunity for the fans in Sochi to discover F1 and I hope they enjoyed it! »
