Photos: A Saturday in Brazil

Photos from the second day of the 2009 Brazilian Grand Prix are available in the “Multimedia” section, under “Photos”. Formula 1 is stopping this weekend at the 16th and penultimate circuit of the season. The circuit is known for its technical difficulty and its counterclockwise lap. This season, the curbs are in the colors of the flag… blue, yellow, white…

Photos are undoubtedly the best way to closely study the details of a Formula 1 car and understand the aerodynamic innovations implemented by engineers. You don’t need to be an expert to assess a new wing.

At Interlagos, a very bumpy track, you have to enjoy turning. The downforce is therefore relatively high. The situation becomes even more complicated if rain appears… like today.

Aerodynamically, no major changes since Japan. Then you have to look in detail at the sponsorship and Brawn GP, which is gaining vibrant red sponsors by the bucketload.

Today’s photos obviously relate to Free Practice 3 and the qualifying sessions (turbulent and rainy).
